Dear Darien:
I wanted to let you know how educational & eye opening your presentation and the time you have spent one on one with me regarding credit card services. I unfortunately was very blind when I went into my contract a two years ago and have been paying for it dearly ever since. I have to admit, I too was taken by low upfront costs, and free equipment. I learned the hard way about the true cost of taking credit cards and how priceless your information has been to me. As I told you, I have been very bitter towards credit card vendors due to my mistake of picking the wrong one, and I apologize for gearing any of frustrations at you in the beginning, after all, you are the only one who has taken the time to go over my contract, explain what the percentages and fees that I have been paying all along.
Even though I am stuck in a contract for the duration of the next year, I am counting the days when we can let them know I won’t be renewing. It has saddened me to loose about 20-25% of my income due to choosing the wrong vendor.
If you can do anything for me, please do this, anyone you come in contact with that is sitting on the fence about other companies offering free equipment, etc., show them this letter and encourage them to contact me directly, I would consider it a true injustice for another business owner to not give this type of decision the same consideration they would for hiring employees, choosing the right bank for their business, etc. Once they sign on the dotted line, they are locked in for a time period.
